The American Lawyer Names Chad Moore a 2022 Northeast Trailblazer

The American Lawyer has named Chad Moore, Partner in Charge of the firm’s Hammonton NJ office, to its 2022 list of Northeast Trailblazers. The list honors lawyers in the Northeast region for their impact on the legal industry and their practice.

In his litigation practice spanning over two decades, Chad tried numerous jury trials to verdict with positive results. His accomplishments in the areas of personal injury, general liability and insurance litigation extend to work performed in the Appellate Division, where in James v. Ruiz the Court upheld Chad’s position regarding the bootstrapping of expert testimony.

According to Chad, prior to James, “bootstrapping expert opinions of non-testifying experts was common practice and regularly created evidentiary issues at trial.” Describing the impact of the case and ruling on the practice, Chad added that “parties involved in ligation no longer can “backdoor” a disputed complex opinion through another witness. The expert must testify in order for that opinion to reach a jury.”
