Hoagland Longo Sponsors Women Aware Moving Beyond Abuse 5K & Charity Walk

On October 21, 2023, Women Aware will host the Moving Beyond Abuse 5K Race & Charity Walk at Johnson Park in Piscataway, NJ. Hoagland Longo is proud to support once again Women Aware and their work for domestic violence survivors and their families. As the state-designated comprehensive domestic violence service agency for Middlesex County, Women Aware promotes the safety and self-sufficiency of individuals and families affected by domestic violence through a variety of safety net programs, including children’s trauma therapy and legal advocacy.

Hoagland Longo attorney Brian McFadden, a partner in the firm’s Family Law practice group, has dedicated extensive time and effort as a volunteer for Women Aware for over a decade, including through legal clinics and workshops. On September 12, 2023, he co-presented the “Domestic Violence & Social Services Workshop” with Caitriona Metelski of the Middlesex County Board of Social Services. The workshop shed light on services available to domestic violence victims through both the Court, including possession of a shared residence, mortgage/rent, emergency support, and financial damages support and through the Board of Social Services.
