Patrick McDonald Presents Dictionaries to Local School for New Brunswick Rotary Club’s Dictionary Project
On December 7th, Partner Patrick J. McDonald presented dictionaries to the 3rd grade class at the Roosevelt School in New Brunswick as a part of the New Brunswick Rotary Club’s Dictionary Project. The Dictionary Project provides dictionaries to every 3rd grade student in New Brunswick, North Brunswick and Highland Park public schools with the goal of encouraging local students to become good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners.
“Some of these children have never owned their own books and/or dictionary, so this is a great project to provide to the community,” says Patrick McDonald, who has been a member of the New Brunswick Rotary Club for over 10 years and is an active member and advocate for ensuring the gift of literacy for future generations.
Since its implementation in 1995, over 18 million children have received their very own dictionaries based on generous support from thousands of people all across the country and organizations such as Rotary Club, Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and many more.
