Marc S. Gaffrey Joins Adjuster Safety Panel at Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo
Hoagland Longo Partner Marc S. Gaffrey presented the panel entitled “Adjuster Safety: Disaster Site Safety” at the PLRB Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo with Theresa Chimento, Project Director at J.S. Held LLC, and Richard Hammond-Moore, General Adjuster at Church Mutual Insurance Group.
The agenda included:
- Develop skills to identify hazardous materials
- Recognize who should do the testing and write the protocols
- Learn what PPE to wear to stay safer on claims with hazardous materials
- Understand the legal issues with hazardous materials on claims

Marc is the Supervising Partner of the Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Department at Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas. Leveraging a background in biochemistry, Marc has resolved hundreds of toxic tort, mass tort, and environmental law disputes throughout New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania over his 35+ year career with a unique scientific perspective and understanding. He handles matters involving asbestos, mold, talc, silica, benzene, pesticides, and chemical compounds, and has also litigated numerous environmental matters involving fuel oil discharge, hazardous waste, Superfund site construction and remediation, and landfill clean-up. In addition to his legal practice, Marc is President-Elect of the Middlesex County Bar Association and Co-Chair of its Environmental Law Committee.
