Lawrence Powers and Joan Osborne Prevail on Motion for Summary Judgment

Lawrence Powers of the HLMDD Construction Litigation Group successfully argued a Summary Judgment Motion to obtain the dismissal of a 1.4 million dollar economic loss claim in a professional liability action brought by the owner of an Atlantic County based vocational school.   That dismissal was obtained by demonstrating that the opinion of Plaintiff’s economist regarding lost tuition and increased utility costs was a net opinion that was unsupported by sufficient objective facts to be presented to a jury.  Joan Osborne assisted with the brief, which was complimented by the Court.
