Jeffrey Czuba Has Two Recent Trial Wins in Middlesex County Superior Court

Jeffrey Czuba, Partner in the firm recently had two trial wins, both in Middlesex County Superior Court, in two separate automobile liability matters.  

On May 22, 2015 Jeff completed a four day trial in the matter of Dixon v. Riti before Hon Joseph Rea, J.S.C. at the Middlesex County Courthouse. This matter arose out of a 2011 motor vehicle accident in Edison, NJ in which Plaintiff was stopped at a stop sign and was struck in the rear by Defendant. As a result of the accident Plaintiff alleged that she sustained multiple herniated discs in her cervical spine, cervical radiculopathy, a herniated disc in her lumbar spine and lumbosacral radiculopathy. Prior to trial and upon Plaintiff’s motion the Court determined that the Defendant was 100% liable for the cause of the accident. However, the jury returned a verdict in favor of our client, the Defendant, finding that plaintiff had failed to demonstrate that she sustained a permanent injury as a result of the accident.

On June 4, 2015 Jeff completed a three day trial in the matter of Omolola v. Gorski before Hon. Melvin Gelade, J.S.C. in Middlesex County Superior Court. This matter also arose out of a 2011 motor vehicle accident but involved claims by two Plaintiffs. At the time of the accident the Plaintiff’s vehicle was stopped in traffic when it was struck in the rear by Defendant. As a result of the accident the first Plaintiff alleged that he sustained multiple injuries and had undergone several pain management procedures. The second Plaintiff alleged that she sustained multiple injuries as well and had undergone almost one year of chiropractic treatment. Upon Plaintiff’s motion the Court determined that the Defendant was 100% liable for the cause of the accident. At trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the our client, the Defendant, awarding the first Plaintiff only $15,000 and finding that the second Plaintiff had failed to demonstrate that she sustained a permanent injury as a result of the accident.
