Jessica N. Mazur is a divorce lawyer in Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas’ Family Law Department and a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She is also a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee. She is an AV-rated® attorney by LexisNexis® Martindale Hubbell™ and has a 10/10 rating on Avvo.
Providing comfort and closure to people enduring the most stressful experiences of their lives, Jessica has risen quickly in this area of law. As a New Jersey divorce lawyer, Jessica is highly experienced in helping clients reach comprehensive settlement agreements. Whether it's through conventional divorce filing, mediation, or legal separation, Jessica always strives to ensure that both spouses' needs and issues are properly addressed. These issues include assets, debts, child-related expenses, college, childcare, retirement accounts, alimony, sale or division of the home, life insurance, health insurance, co-pays, and more. Her experience has enabled her to represent clients involved in complex custody battles, divorces, child support matters, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence disputes, visitation/parenting time issues, equitable distribution, civil unions, and restraining orders. Jessica’s career, nearly two decades, began in the trenches of the legal community as a legal secretary, as she worked her way through law school. Rising steadily, she ultimately became partner and owner of the very firm where she was once a legal secretary. Jessica is now one of approximately 161 attorneys in a state of over 41,000 attorneys that is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney. The Board on Attorney Certification was established by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1980 for the purpose of helping consumers find attorneys who have a recognized level of competence in particular fields of law. Attorneys may be designated by the Supreme Court as "certified attorneys" if they: are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge, and skill in a specific area of law or practice; have passed a rigorous examination; and have been recognized by their peers as having sufficient skills and reputation in the designated specialty. Jessica has also recently achieved formal accreditation by The New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) as a professional Divorce and Family Law Mediator. This Accredited Professional Mediator designation has been achieved by only three other mediators in Monmouth County. In addition, she has acted as an arbitrator in several matrimonial cases, rendering fair and equitable decisions in an efficient and timely manner.
Jessica has successfully taken cases through trial, arbitration, the Appellate Division (see Hatcher v. Hadiddou) as well as mediation, the collaborative law process, and the Early Settlement Panel, balancing all available litigation options to serve her clients’ needs. Jessica was appointed by the Presiding Judge of the Family Division in Middlesex County to aid litigants in resolving their cases as an Early Settlement Panelist. She has also been admitted to the roster of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases. In this age of growing technology, Jessica has been called upon to lecture other attorneys on the intricacies of the Federal Wiretap Act, addressing email spoofs and social media hacking and the impact upon Divorce, Custody, and Domestic Violence litigation. She has appeared as a legal expert on America's Premier Lawyers on CNN Airport TV Network. She was also recognized in Time Magazine's 85th Annual Salute to Women In Leadership and served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul A. Kapalko, J.S.C., while he was the Presiding Judge of the Family Part of Monmouth County.
If you happen to find Jessica outside of the Courtroom, you might catch her flying a plane or riding a motorcycle. Jessica started flying at the age of 15 and obtained her private pilot’s license a mere three years later. Through her legal career she has continued to conquer boundaries as the sky is no longer her limit.

I just want to thank you for your help in setting me free. Its been just over a year and I am as happy as can be. I have my life back. My children are very happy. When my sister and I first met with you and you left to take a call, we knew you were the one. What you have is very special.

Thank you, Jessica. You are a true class act. I am grateful to have found you. I don’t wish divorce on anyone, but if someone has to go through it, you are who I would recommend any day of the week.
Krystal S.
Thank you so much for your professionalism, your knowledge, your patience with the process (and with me), your silent and strong presence, and for being the person with whom I took this ride. I feel tremendous gratitude for all that you did and all that you are. I am lucky that we have met. The impact that you had on this time in my life is larger than you could ever know.
Julie W.
I want to thank you for all that you have done for us. I am sure we would not have had the favorable outcome we have without your help. Thank you seems so inadequate, but I am, we are, so very grateful. K. is doing well. Once again, thank you for all that you have done to insure this successful outcome.
Suzanne P.
Thank you for stepping in and making a huge difference in a way that I am able to deal with things. You’ve lent me strength, and made me feel calm, and helped me speak out in court – and most importantly, you’ve always treated me like I’m a normal, decent person despite the completely abnormal divorce.
Cindy E.
Thank you so much for your efforts on my behalf over the last (many) years. I am so relieved to have reached a final resolution and ready to move forward. Your guidance was very much appreciated under difficult circumstances and seemingly immutable situations.

You did a great job, and because of you, now I have more faith in the system. The Judge based his decision on the law which we can all agree is how our system of justice should work. Thank you again Jessica!
