Andrew Kessler is a partner in the firm and handles a variety of matters in both our Professional Liability and Environmental & Toxic Tort Departments. In his over 25 years of practice he has handled a variety of product liability, general liability and insurance coverage matters and has represented numerous types of professionals in malpractice cases. Andrew handles matters for clients in both state and federal courts and also has extensive experience resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution forums. Andrew has handled professional malpractice claims against architects/engineers, accountants, lawyers and dentists. He has also represented accountants and dentists in disciplinary proceedings before their respective state boards. His practice also includes the handling of a variety of construction liability and insurance coverage matters. 

Andrew has achieved an AV®rating by Martindale Hubbell.  This certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. Andrew has lectured on various topics throughout his career to many audiences. He has presented a seminar for CLM to a group of insurance claims handlers on the basics of accounting claims. He has given a Dental Malpractice Avoidance seminar to a large, state-wide private dental practice's annual meeting where he spoke on elements to a malpractice claim and the process of a lawsuit; the importance of adequate record keeping and informed consent.  He has also given a continuing education course (CE) to the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers (NJSPE) on the obligations for site safety and risk management to avoid liability.  Andrew was a speaker at a Lorman environmental litigation seminar, speaking on the development of toxic mold litigation. At another Lorman Seminar, he spoke on taking and defending effective depositions. For Perrin Conferences, Andrew was on a panel of presenters for an Ovarian Cancer and Talc Webinar. 

Andrew's previous experience includes several years of work in the commercial and industrial roofing industry and as a project superintendent for a large, multinational construction management firm prior to attending law school. While in law school, Andrew served as an Articles Editor for the Nova Law Review and was President of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. His article, titled Exceptions to Discharge: The Supreme Court Adopts a Preponderance of the Evidence Standard of Proof in Section 523 Proceedings, was published in the Nova Law Review (15 Nova. L. Rev. 1411 (1991)).  After publication, this article was selected for inclusion on WESTLAW and cited as a reference article in Colliers Bankruptcy Code.
